Sanofi receives 2020 International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) Facility of the Year Award
The award showcases innovative game-changers who are setting the standard for pharmaceutical facilities of the future
The Sanofi manufacturing facility, a first of its kind in the world, opened in October 2019

Framingham, Mass – April 9, 2020 - Sanofi is pleased to announce that its digitally-enabled continuous biomanufacturing facility located in Framingham, Massachusetts has received the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) Facility of the Year Award in the Facility of the Future category.

The category showcases innovative game-changers who are setting the standard for pharmaceutical facilities of the future. The Framingham facility, opened in October 2019, is one of the world’s first digital facilities using intensified, continuous biologics production technology. The facility’s advanced paperless and data-driven manufacturing technologies enables Sanofi to achieve higher levels of productivity, agility, and flexibility, reducing the time it takes for products to move from the development labs to the manufacturing plant.
